WILDWOOD - The City of Wildwood is trying something new. From July 12 through August 21, 2021, the City will bring the Arts to the Parks. Yoga, Painting and Music will be showcased in three neighborhood parks. The events are FREE and open to the public, especially to the residents of each park neighborhood.
Commissioner Krista Fitzsimons, who oversees Wildwood events, said, "As a lifelong resident of Wildwood, I have always wanted to see our parks used more. This series gives residents and visitors alike a chance to cool down from the summer heat and daily hustle and bustle. The events are family-friendly and a great chance to connect with neighbors or to make new friends."
The Arts include:
Yoga with Christine Alessi, a local and experienced Yogi at Itswell Yoga. Be sure to bring a yoga mat or towel to participate.
Painting with sisters Jennifer Pruszinski and Linda Ennis from PrEnnis Painting Parties. Bring a smock; all other supplies will be provided.
Music by Bill Caterini. This experienced and popular musician, a Wildwood native, will play acoustic tunes for 60+ minutes each week.
Guests should bring beach chairs or blankets and be ready to sing along!
Master DJ and Sound will kick off Karaoke on July 24 when Bill is out of town. Jasen Michell owns the local company and is ready to rock the park!
