Guidance for outdoor dining in North Wildwood

PRESS RELEASE

Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 150, permitting outdoor dining starting on Monday, June 15, 2020.

The North Wildwood Police Department would like to provide guidance for outdoor seating to our residents and visitors as it pertains to our city.

Licensed establishments are permitted to have outdoor seating with service for food and alcoholic beverages.

These extensions of the licensed premises have been approved by the State of New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the City of North Wildwood.

All social distancing and Executive Order guidelines shall be followed:

• Patrons may only enter the interior of a licensed premise to use the restroom or to pick up Take-Out.

• Take-Out and "Cocktails to Go" are still permitted as per the Governor's Executive Order but the alcoholic beverages purchased is not permitted to be opened or consumed on the street.

• Open display and consumption of alcoholic beverages are only permitted in the designated, fenced-in areas directly in front of the licensed establishments, not on the street on Olde New Jersey Avenue.

• Coolers and any outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the designated extension areas.

• Officers will be enforcing the open display ordinance in non-designated areas on the street, along with any underage violations.
