BG Capital, redeveloper of Seaport Pier, addresses recent Notice of Violation

This morning, BG Capital, redevelopers of Seaport Pier, released a statement through the local law firm of Monzo Catanese Hillegas to address a recent Notice of Violation issued by the state DEP.

The related story was first published by NJ.com this past Saturday, June 6.

PRESS RELEASE

BG Capital, LLC, as redeveloper of Seaport Pier, is in the receipt of the Notice of Violation issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“DEP”) on June 6, 2020.

BG Capital, along with its legal and engineering teams, had a very positive and productive conference call with the DEP.

While the Notices of Violation were issued to North Wildwood and BG Capital on the same day, it is not alleged that BG Capital disturbed or destroyed any dunes or critical wildlife habitat.

The renovation to the existing pier and the construction of the expanded area did not result in any violations related to the destruction of vegetated dunes.

BG Capital will be submitting a response to the Notice of Violation within the appropriate time frame and looks forward to working with the DEP to address any concerns they may have related to this project.
