One of the biggest events of the winter takes place this Saturday, February 22, when the 12th Annual Fallen Hero Polar Bear Plunge returns to North Wildwood.
The event honors and raises funds for families of police officers lost in the line of duty, through the Philadelphia Police Fallen Heroes Fund, MRSA Awareness and local scholarships.
Registration fee is $35 in advance, $40 on the day of the plunge.
Fee also includes access to the post party event at Keenan's Irish Pub, featuring Corner Boys & Co., Jamison CR, Juliano Brothers and Mike & Callie.
On-site registration at 15th Street Beach (North Wildwood Beach Patrol HQ) begins at 8:45 am. The plunge begins promptly at 11 am.
Prizes for best costumes will be awarded in team and individual categories.
