Barefoot Country Music Fest Artist Announcement: Jimmie Allen

The Barefoot Country Music Fest is revealing a new performing artist every morning this week. Previously, it was announced that the three-day festival would be headlined by industry megastars Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton, along with Dan + Shay. Yesterday (Monday), Billy Currington was added to the lineup. We will update with each artist announcement.

In addition to featuring some of the industry's biggest names, the Barefoot Country Music Fest promises to be a showcase for a roster of rising stars.

Jimmie Allen fits that bill perfectly.

After a decade of toiling on the Nashville scene, Allen arrived with the release of Mercury Lane in October 2018. His first official single, 'Best Shot,' quickly found its way onto the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay and Billboard Hot 100 charts, and was made into a music video.

A second single, 'Make Me Want To,' was released last year. The album also featured a cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's 'Shallow' (a duet with Abby Anderson), which was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2019 CMT Music Awards.

The inaugural Barefoot Country Music Fest will feature over 30 of the industry's "hottest acts and rising stars," performing on three stages on the Wildwood Beach from Friday, June 19 to Saturday, June 21.
