Get Well Soon, Gigi!

The beloved "Goodwill Ambassabor of the Wildwoods Boardwalk," John "Gigi" Gigliotti, is presently recovering from emergency surgery at Cooper Hospital in Camden.

John Lynch helped spread the word this morning on Facebook, via a note from Gigliotti's daughter, Diane, which assured that Gigi is doing well and already anxiously awaiting his return to the Boardwalk.

Perhaps the single most recognizable figure associated with our famous wooden walkway, Gigi serves as supervisor and safety coordinator of the Sightseer Tram Cars operation.

He can be seen all over the Boardwalk on a given day, sporting his signature matching blue or yellow hat and jacket while making sure all is running smoothly - from daybreak to well past midnight.

Gigi even has a tram car that was named after him - "The Gig" - which was introduced into the fleet last year.

We would like to wish Gigi and his wife Barbara the very best, and a super speedy recovery!

Per John's post, cards and well wishes can be sent to:
