September, October, and November...

PRESS RELEASE

The City of Wildwood and Boardwalk Entertainment are proud to announce a collaboration pointed towards populating Wildwood in the off season. “Fall in Love with Wildwood” is a new and unique marketing campaign for the months of September, October and November, that showcases the local businesses and events around town.

Boardwalk Entertainment has added two fall events to the calendar this year, and the City has announced one.

"Now that the official summer season is gone, Indian Summer is a great time to visit the City of Wildwood," said Commissioner Pete Byron. "Our world-famous Boardwalk, wide, free beaches and renowned restaurants, businesses, hotels and motels are just the place to spend time enjoying Wildwood days and nights. This autumn especially, will be the perfect time to Fall in Love with all that Wildwood has to offer."

The marketing campaign features a website at www.welovewildwood.com that will serve as an off-season guide to Wildwood. Local businesses, attractions, hotels/motels, and restaurants are listed along with their closing dates (if any), and information on featured businesses.

The campaign includes the social media tag #WeLoveWildwood, and The City encourages all visitors to post on social media using this tag. Facebook and Instagram accounts for this campaign can be found at @WeLoveWildwood. In addition to the online components, Fall in Love with Wildwood will participate in local advertising, through a sponsorship from Boardwalk Entertainment.

Boardwalk Entertainment has returned to Wildwood to host two free events; The Indian Summer Beach Fest at Taylor Ave and the Beach on October 22nd, the Wildwood Food Truck Festival at Fox Park on October 29th.

The Indian Summer Beach Fest is a festival of food, music, and arts and features an all day schedule of live music from local bands, food components such as the “Taste the World Food & Wine Experience” and appearances by local celebrity chefs, as well as an art gallery and live art demonstrations.

In addition, zorb balls, rock climbing, air jumpers, face painting and more will be available for fun for the whole family.  R/V Camping on the beach will be offered from October 21-23 on the beach south of the Convention Center.

The Wildwood Food Truck Festival will feature 20 of the area’s best trucks inside Fox Park, with live music throughout the day. This will be the first food truck event inside The City of Wildwood, and is expected to draw a younger crowd as well as many families into Wildwood.
