In its list of 2016 "10 Best Beaches for Families in 2016," the editors of the website familyvacationcritic.com listed Wildwood as one of the top ten in the nation.
Noting Wildwood's free beaches, world-famous Boardwalk, engaging entertainment opportunities and a dog beach where families can bring Fido along on vacation, the website also lauded the city for its affordable hotel and motel accommodations and its offering families a "classic summer vacation at the Jersey Shore."
"Not only is Wildwood one of the best family-friendly beach vacation destiinations in the state of New Jersey, we think it's one of the best in the nation," said Mayor Ernie Troiano. "As a world-class beach vacation destination, we are especially happy to be included on familyvacationcritic.com's top 10 list."
