WINTER STORM UPDATE

(The sunrise from Anglesea this morning, courtesy of Jodie DiEduardo)

We have entered, in all likelihood, the proverbial calm before the storm, ahead of this weekend's projected "weather event."

While the exact path of the storm is still coming into focus, snow beginning late Friday and continuing well into Saturday seems highly certain..

As always, the major concern here at the shore - and specifically for barrier islands - is coastal flooding and beach erosion.

Projected high winds and an ill-timed full moon (meaning tides will be higher than usual) will be in the mix, elevating the threat of damage.

We will update and report as best we can, NOT for the sake of sensationalism, but to inform readers near and far of the latest developments...
