Anglesea Pub named Best Irish Pub in NJ

Some good news amidst the seemingly-endless storm this past weekend came through in the form of a notable honor for one of the Wildwoods' most storied establishments.

As reported by The Wildwood Leader, The Anglesea Pub was named Best Irish Pub in New Jersey by BuzzFeed.

BuzzFeed staff writer Annie Daly consulted Yelp for assistance to go along with her own criteria (which included emphasis on coziness and "a sense of home").

Be sure to check out The Leader's write-up by Madison Russ, which includes reaction from manager "Irish" Sean McMullan, and insight into just what makes this year-round favorite a community treasure.

The Anglesea Pub has a long, colorful history, dating back to its origin as the Hotel Germantown in 1885.

The building looks much the same today as it did 130 years ago...
