Showtime Dance Band makes Crest’s Centennial Park debut on Saturday, July 18

Old-school dance, pop and more will be all the rage when the Showtime Dance Band makes its Wildwood Crest debut this weekend at Centennial Park.

Hailing from Yonkers, N.Y., Showtime Dance Band performs inspirational music that combines the sound of Motown, soul, R&B, funk, old-school disco, dance rock and jazz with the priority that it makes the crowd move.

The band will perform Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series.

Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.

Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, hosted by the Wildwood Crest Recreation and Tourism Department and supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wednesday and Saturday at Centennial Park through Sept. 5, as well as every Monday through Aug. 17 at Sunrise Park at Rambler Road at 7:30 p.m.

Other upcoming entertainment in the Summer Music Series includes pop and rock hits, acoustic style, with John and Jon of Stellar Mojo on Monday, July 20; classic rock with the Big Bleu band on Wednesday, July 22; a tribute to Journey with Almost Journey on Saturday, July 18.
