The band announced the news on its Facebook page earlier today:
A Man of many hats- A father. A brother. A family man. A friend. A band leader. A businessman. An entertainer. A musician. An irreplaceable presence. An inspiration to many. A relentless fighter. An unforgettable person.
As a band, family, friends, and fans- we are all brokenhearted. We deeply thank you for your support and touching words. Frank poured his heart and soul into his band and his music. He built years of wonderful memories both on and off stage. In his own words, he would want nothing more than the Don't Call Me Francis legacy to continue on. The band is proud to fulfill his wish.
If you believe in forever as a Don't Call Me Francis fan,
You know there is a rock and roll heaven,
And they have one hell of a band.
Rest peacefully, Francis Orsini.
We love and miss you.
Formed in 1991, Don't Call Me Francis has been one of the most successful and in-demand party bands in the region for over two decades.
The band is extremely popular at the Jersey Shore and is certainly no stranger to the Wildwoods' entertainment scene, most recently performing at Flip Flopz in North Wildwood and as part of the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series last August.

We would like to wish Mr. Orsini's family, friends, fans, and his fellow band mates our deepest sympathies.
