Portions of Wildwood Crest bike path to close during construction

PRESS RELEASE

Various sections of the beachfront portion of the Borough of Wildwood Crest’s bike path will close from approximately Monday, Jan. 20 through Friday, Feb. 28, the borough has announced.

The closures are necessary for construction work that includes a four-foot expansion of the existing bike path for added safety as well as complete replacement of the existing path behind Centennial Park between Palm and Forget-Me-Not roads. The closures will occur along sections of the path from Lotus Road to Cresse Avenue as work warrants.

Residents and visitors of Wildwood Crest are respectfully requested to honor any barricades in place and remain clear of construction areas and closed portions of the path. In addition, beach access may be restricted and/or closed in these areas during construction work.

For further information about this project, contact the office of borough engineering firm Van Note-Harvey Associates at (609) 465-2600 or the borough clerk’s office at (609) 522-5176.
