Wildwoods Convention Center Welcomes Wrestling Association


Youth wrestling returns to the Wildwoods next weekend...

The South Jersey Wrestling Association will once again host the National Youth Challenge Duals in the Wildwoods Convention Center from Feb. 8 through Feb. 10.

This three-day event will feature elementary school wrestlers, grades 2 through 6, and middle school wrestlers, grades 4 through 8, in highly competitive dual meet matches. More than 40 teams from all over the country will be competing in one of the most challenging dual tournaments in the East. This event is a great way to show your support for the dedicated youth wrestlers of New Jersey and see some of the nation’s best youth wrestlers in action.

The South Jersey Wrestling Association’s mission is to create a competitive atmosphere for youth wrestlers that promotes sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and fair play. This purpose is met by providing supervised and competitive wrestling competitions to encourage continued participation in the sport of amateur wrestling.

Times for competition are as follows: Feb. 8 from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.; Feb. 9 from 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Admission for adults is $5 on Friday; $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Admission for children under 12 and seniors is $3 on Friday; $5 on Saturday and Sunday.

Also, save the date for the upcoming ‘War at the Jersey Shore’ National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships taking place on March 28 through March 30 at the Wildwoods Convention Center.
