Contract awarded to remove GSP traffic lights, project to begin next month
According to The Press of Atlantic City, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority has awarded a $72 million contract to Richard E. Pierson Construction Co. to remove traffic signals at Exits 9, 10, and 11 on the Garden State Parkway.
These signals, all in Cape May County, are the only three along the entire GSP.
Work on the removals is scheduled to begin next month. The project is expected to take two-and-a-half years to fully complete.
