Crest plans 9th annual borough-wide yard sale

Bargain hunters are encouraged to spend the day in Wildwood Crest for the ninth annual Borough-Wide Yard Sale on Sat., May 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature nearly 200 yard sale locations throughout the borough. Those wishing to become an official yard sale location must submit a registration form by Tues., April 26. Fee is $15.

Registration forms are available at the Wildwood Crest Public Works Department, Wildwood Crest Borough Hall and the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center. Registration forms can also be downloaded online at www.wildwoodcrest.org. Call 522-7446 for further information.

Maps featuring yard sale locations will be available on Thursday, May 12, at the following locations: Wildwood Crest Borough Hall, 6601 Pacific Avenue; Crest Pier Recreation Center, 5800 Ocean Avenue; Joseph Von Savage Memorial Pool, 8800 New Jersey Avenue; Nana’s Deli, Heather Road and New Jersey Avenue; and Suncrest Market, Preston Road and New Jersey Avenue.

Rain date for the event is Sun., May 15.

Residents and visitors are reminded to obey all traffic laws as they travel through town on the day of the event.

Following the yard sale, registered participants are strongly encouraged to leave bulk items, electronics, metal and rigid plastics curbside for pickup by the Wildwood Crest Public Works Department.

Unwanted clothing and textiles can be dropped off at the Crest Pier Recreation Center at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue immediately following the yard sale. Borough staff will take these items to the borough’s Goodwill drop-off center located at the public works department.
