Progress on Moreys' new "family restaurant"

With the unofficial kick-off to summer 2010 just one week away, we are drawing closer to the end of one of the busiest offseasons in recent memory at Morey's Piers.

The main buzz continues to center around Ignis Fatuus ("Project 5292010") - the mystery ship attraction that will be officially unveiled at midnight on May 29th. Construction of the much-anticipated Adventure Maze is also nearing completion.

Not all of the additions to the piers this year are amusement-related, however. Back in March, the Moreys announced an expansion to the Curley's Fries stand at the base of Surfside Pier that will include a "contemporary family restaurant."

Joe's Fish Co. will include a variety of seafood options (naturally), along with traditional boardwalk favorites (think pizza, etc.) and - now that approval has been granted - a wide selection of alcoholic options.

  1. That looks great! Can never have enough outdoor dining on the beach. I have a feeling that place will be packed. Wish them the best of luck for a great season.
