Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market kicks off 10th season on Saturday, May 27th (+ 2023 Byrne Plaza events schedule)

PRESS RELEASE

WILDWOOD - The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) is celebrating a milestone on Memorial Day Weekend when the popular Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market opens for season #10!

Reminiscing about their humble beginnings on an empty lot in 2014, the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market Managers remember sweating it out and hoping to get 20 vendors each week. Over the years, the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market has expanded to beautiful Byrne Plaza and Beyond, at 3400 – 3501 Pacific Avenue, and has been part of the many Downtown Wildwood improvements that continue to take place!

The Farmers Market averages over 70 vendors each week, making it the place to be on Saturday mornings! Adding to the fun, and 98.7 The Coast plays music and broadcasts live from 8 to 10 am and free face painting or balloon twisting is offered each week from 10 to 12 pm. The market offers
something for everyone, with a little something different each week.

In addition to farm goods, the vendors sell fresh baked foods, specialty foods like honey and guacamole, wine, craft beer and spirits, meals to go, food and drinks to enjoy while you shop, and so much more! There is also a large selection of non-food vendors making the Farmers Market an open air gift shop where you will find what you need for every occasion, or just because!

Well over 100 vendors apply to participate now, making acceptance a coveted prize for vendors and allowing the market to offer a great selection.

As part of the 10th anniversary celebration, there will be free live music, face painting and balloon twisting from 10 am to noon. Also at 10 am will be the unveiling of the 2023 DOOWW Magnet designs!

The DOOWW Booth is the place to get your free magnet and to purchase official DOOWW gear like shirts, hats, tote bags and Christmas ornaments. You can also pick up information about all the Downtown Wildwood businesses and schedule of events.

The Farmers Market is open from 8 am until 12:30 pm, every Saturday through Labor Day Weekend. Parking is free and there are plenty of bike racks, too. Walk, run, drive or bike to the Farmers Market - you're going to love it!

In addition to the Farmers Market on Memorial Day Weekend, one-hour long Boot Camp Circuit Training classes will be offered by Dion on Friday (5/26) and Monday (5/29) at 8:30 am. Fee is $10 and paid to instructor.

The full schedule of Byrne Plaza events will begin on June 19 and will include:
  • Five Fabulous Days of Fitness (all at 8:30 am): Starting on June 19, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be Boot Camp Circuit Training with Dion for $10; Tuesdays and Thursdays will be Total Body Strength & Cardio with Lisa for $10. All fees are paid directly to the instructor.
