Nan and Pop's Kitchen to open on May 13th, Grand Opening ceremony scheduled

PRESS RELEASE

WILDWOOD, NJ - A new destination restaurant in Wildwood will open its doors on May 13.

The much anticipated Nan and Pop's Kitchen is proud to announce their Opening Day will begin at 2 pm with a ceremony packed with surprise guests and local representatives.

Immediately following the ceremony, select guests will be invited inside for an after party before the restaurant opens for its first dinner service at 5 pm.

The restaurant has been in the works for more than six months with the owners completing a full redesign of the inside. Providing few details to the public, Nan and Pop's Kitchen only reveals walking into the restaurant will be a "step back in time" and will focus on serving traditional, home cooked American food.

"We are so excited for our grand opening," said owners Christy and Jasen Mitchell. "People are going to be surprised walking in the door. It's like a time capsule at Nan and Pop's. It's warm and inviting, everyone will feel right at home."

The foundations of the business were revealed weeks ago in a blog post from Nan and Pop's, outlining that family, faith and community are the most important pillars of the business. The restaurant will be closed on Sundays, will feature a community fridge and cupboard, and will be geared towards family experiences.

"It's time to bring back family dining and togetherness," said Christy. "Nan and Pop's Kitchen will do just that. My family and I created this business in the memory of my husband's grandparents. They were true pioneers of Wildwood. Dining with us will be like walking into your family's home for a delicious dinner."

Nan and Pop's Kitchen is located steps from the Boardwalk on the corner of Wildwood & Ocean Avenues (401 E. Wildwood Ave) and will be open starting at 5 pm on Thursday, May 13.

To start, the restaurant will be open Thursday - Saturday from 7 am to 1 pm for breakfast and lunch, 4 to 10 pm for dinner, and then 6 days a week (closed on Sundays) starting June 23.
