Cape May closes beaches and promenade

EXECUTIVE ORDER - CITY OF CAPE MAY

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to further protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens, residents and property owners of, and visitors to, the City of Cape May; and further persist to Paragraph 3 of Executive Order 108, issues by Governor Murphy, and Administrative Order 2020-06, issues by the New Jersey State Director of Energency Management:

It is hereby ORDERED and DECREED, that all Cape May City beaches, and the Cape May City Promenade, are hereby CLOSED to the public, effective 12:01 a.m. on March 31, 2020, until further notice.

Persons violating this Order, as well as those who aid or abet violations of this Order, are subject to arrest and prosecution as disorderly persons, persuant to N.J.S.A. App A:9-49 and N.J.S.A. App A:9-50.
