Update and opening set for Capt'n Jack's expansion

Work continues to move along on the expansion of Capt'n Jack's Island Grill, into the second level space previously occupied by Sand Jamm Surf Shop at 2701 Boardwalk.

In our last update, we noted that the new space would include a dining area and bar, with beach and ocean views. We have since learned that the windows above the Boardwalk will roll back, creating an open air atmosphere.

Capt'n Jack's has also confirmed that it is aiming for a Mother's Day Weekend opening for the expanded area - now less than two weeks away!

The former first floor of Sand Jamm, directly under the Capt'n Jack's expansion, will be occupied by East Side sports shop. Johnson's Popcorn, next door, will also continue to operate on the Boardwalk level.

Sand Jamm 5Mile, which opened last Spring, is open year round at 26th & New Jersey Avenues.
