Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament
5-on-5 beach flag football for both boys and girls ages 5-17 years old; hosted by Morey's Piers. Games consist of 2-20 minute halves, and start on the hour. Fields are 30 yards by 40 years, plus 5 yards for each end zone. Each team will play 3 games (weather permitting) with a 4th possible for those advancing to the finals. Downtown Wildwood Farmer's Market
Open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Downtown Wildwood Farmer's Market features a host of vendors selling farm fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, homemade baked goods, honey, wine nuts, soaps and much more. Live music from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., strolling childrens' entertainment and a live broadcast from 98.7 The Coast every week. FREE parking is available. NJ State BBQ Championship & Anglesea Blues Festival
One of the biggest annual events on the North Wildwood calendar returns for the entire weekend, along the entertainment district at Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs/restaurants. The festival includes incredible food, cooking demonstrations, and top regional and national blues acts performing for FREE. Sidewalk Chalk Competition
The annual sidewalk chalk drawing competition begins at Bill Henfey Park (8th & Central Avenues) at 9 a.m. Participant do not have to be registered ahead of time. Wildwood Cornhole Tournament
The bags will fly on the Wildwood beach (between Wildwood & Oak Avenues) during this double elimination tournament. Teams of two will compete in the popular tailgating bean bag toss game. The event is split into two days, with today's games beginning at 11 a.m.; participation is open to all ages with a $25 registration. Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival
Grab your buckets and shovels and head to the beach at Heather Road in Wildwood Crest for this 4th annual event, held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contests will be hosted by world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long and "Can You Dig It!" sand sculpting. The event is FREE to all spectators. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories. The event also includes live music on the beach, a magic show, beach games and more.
