The Lobster Shack closes its doors

We have received confirmation that the Lobster Shack has shut down operations.

Whether the closure is temporary or permanent remains to be determined.

The gaudy seafood joint, located at 401 E. Wildwood Avenue (just off the Boardwalk and right across the street from Laura's Fudge), had been in business since 1976.

The Lobster Shack was best known for its Early Bird Specials and "Best Tail in Town" slogan, which was incorporated into many t-shirt designs over the years.
