Morey’s Piers Announces New Events for July and August


New Character Brunch, Kids Kamp,
Beach Sports Weekend and Much More

Summer is officially here and there is a bunch of fun happening at Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks in Wildwood, NJ. Guests visiting the classic shore side destination this July and August will enjoy a variety of new activities and events.

· Morey’s Brunch Bunch

On Sunday, July 26 and Sunday, August 9, 2015, Morey’s Piers invites children to enjoy brunch fit for a princess or super hero at Joe’s Fish Co. on Surfside Pier.  Brunch will feature an assortment of fresh fruit, donuts, cereal, fresh bagels, eggs, sausage, milk, juice, and coffee. Guests can indulge in brunch while mingling and taking photographs with beloved characters.

Other activities include arts and crafts, games, and dancing. Each guest will receive an all day pass to Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Water Parks.  Kids can splash around in one of three kiddie play areas, go wild on the six-lane Wipeout! slide or journey through the water park along the River Adventure.

Tickets are $45 for children and $40 for adults and must be purchased by July 20.  Seatings are available at 9:00 am or 10:30 am. · Beach FootGolf

Morey’ Piers hosts the first and only FootGolf sand tournament in the U.S. on Sunday, July 12, 2015.  Combining the two popular sports of soccer and golf, FootGolf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. The main goal of FootGolf is to kick a soccer ball, into a 21-inch diameter hole, with the fewest number of kicks possible.  Similar to the rules of golf, there will be 9 holes with tee boxes, bunkers, hazards and greens.

· “Let Them Eat Crepes” – Bastille Day Celebration

On July 14, 2015, Morey’s Piers celebrates Bastille Day at La Bakerie, located on the front of Mariner’s Pier, with a special “buy one crepe, get the second crepe free” offer. Known for their delicious crepes, La Bakerie serves up a variety of flavors including; S’mores (graham crackers, marshmallow, Nutella, and powdered sugar), Strawberry Caramel Cheesecake (fresh strawberries, cheese cake filling, caramel sauce with whip cream), and Coco Banana (fresh banana, Nutella, toasted coconut and powdered sugar).

The BOGO offer is valid on July 14th only from 1 pm – midnight. Visit La Bakerie for other sweet treats including funnel cakes, cotton candy and much more.

· Beach Sports Weekend

Morey’ Piers presents beach sports weekend featuring lacrosse, field hockey, and brand new track and field events on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, 2015 on the beach north of Mariner’s Pier at Schellenger Avenue in Wildwood.

The Beach Meet – the only multi-event track meet in the country held entirely on the beach – will be a two-day competition consisting of Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, and Shot Put.  Participants can register for a single event, two events (Long Jump, Triple Jump or Shot Put) or complete the Triathlon (Long Jump, Shot Put and 800 meter run).  All participants will receive free entry to the rides and water parks for two days.

The Beach Mile, taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2015, is a timed race along the Wildwood beach and Atlantic Ocean.  Medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in each race and each competitor will receive a t-shirt and two day pass to Morey’s Pier.

· Morey’s Kids Kamp

Morey’s Piers is hosting a five-day summer camp from August 24 – 28, 2015. The unique half-day camp adventure features arts and crafts, beach games, tram car rides, swimming at Morey’s Water Parks, as well as an array of educational activities with qualified instructors.  Educational programs include: safety and first aid workshops, ecology workshop on the beach eco-system, a “hands-on” surfing lesson and a “behind the scenes” tour of the inner workings of the amusement piers and water parks.

Morey’s Kids Kamp runs from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and is available for children ages seven to 11. The cost is $195 per camper and includes all activities, healthy snacks and Morey’s Kids Kamp T-shirt. To register, visit www.moreyspiers.com/kidskamp and for more information call 609-846-1621.
