We were very saddened to hear the news that Joe Bilbee, the longtime DJ at the legendary Moore's Inlet in Anglesea, passed away suddenly this morning at age 64 (he was to turn 65 next week).
Mr. Bilbee went on to become a part-owner of Moore's, up until the legendary establishment was demolished to make way for new development after the 2005 season.
He is remembered as one of the most popular entertainers the island has ever known, a high-energy disk jockey who spun the hits and led many a dance party into the wee hours of the morning.
The Wildwood 365 staff would like to extend its deepest sympathies to Mr. Bilbee's family, closest friends, and the local community of which he was a cherished member for so long.
