Boardwalk Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show Returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center for 5 days of Competition Starting Wednesday, January 29

Attention all dog lovers!

Four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes will return to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the annual All Breed Dog Show. The Atlantic Ocean Classic Dog Show Cluster, hosted by the Boardwalk Kennel Club, will feature five days of competitions starting Wednesday, January 29 through Sunday, February 2.

Multiple judges will determine the winner of each category and various prizes will be awarded. This is the first show of the season and winners will then move on to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. So come out and see the best of the best of all dog breeds!

New to the Dog Show this year will be “It’s a ‘Shore’ Thing” Crate Decorating Contest taking place throughout the event starting January 29. Handlers are encouraged to decorate their crates in a beach theme, and spectators will vote on their favorite crating area. The award will be announced on Saturday, February 1 after the Police K-9 Demonstrations.

The schedule of competition for the All-Breed Dog Show is as follows:

Wednesday, January 29
Union County Kennel Club will host their All Breed Dog Show and a Meet the Breed Showcase. The Meet the Breed exhibit is a great way to talk to the exhibitors and handle the dog.

Thursday, January 30
Sand and Sea Kennel Club will host their All Breed Dog Show and Obedience & Rally Dog Show. The rally event is a must see – where dogs go through various obstacle courses.

Friday, January 31
Sand and Sea Kennel will again host their All Breed Dog Show; Best Veteran in Competition; Obedience and Rally Dog Show; Canine Good Citizens Clinic; All Breed Puppy Match Show and Obedience Match offered by Boardwalk Kennel Club.

Saturday, February 1
The Boardwalk Kennel Club of Cape May County will host their All Breed Dog Show; Best Puppy in Show Competition; Sanctioned 4-6 Month Puppy Competition; Canine Good Citizens Clinic; Police K-9 Demonstration and Awards Ceremony; and Award Crate Decoration Winner.

Sunday, February 2
The Boardwalk Kennel Club of Cape May County will again host their All Breed Dog Show; Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show Competition; Sanctioned 4-6 Month Puppy Competition; a Micro-Chip Clinic; and an Eye Clinic.

Additionally, vendors will offer unique merchandise for those looking for something special to pamper their pooch – from collars and leashes to books and training tools, along with everything in between. Guided tours and new exhibitor briefings will be available throughout the five-day event to educate the public about all aspects of the sport of dog shows.

Competitions begin at 8 a.m. daily. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $2 for children under 12. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.

The Tourism Authority operates the Wildwoods Convention Center and acts as the island’s destination marketing organization overseeing the development, research, planning, marketing, advertising, promotion, public and media relations encompassing the tourism, meeting and convention industry in the Wildwoods.
