Mirror Maze nears completion

With all of the hype surrounding the soon-to-be unveiled mystery attraction at Mariner's Landing - Ignis Fatuus ("Project 5292010") - the construction of another major addition to the Wildwoods' amusement scene has flown under the radar.

Since late last year, construction has been ongoing at the south base of Hunt's Pier on the Adventure Maze, a mirror/lazer maze challenge designed by world renowned maze wizard Adrian Fisher.

The building, which will also house a self serve bulk candy shop, has been designed to resemble a mini-version of Ocean Pier, the grand predecessor to Hunt's which debuted in 1905 and was destroyed by fire in 1943.

The Adventure Maze is the first custom amusement attraction to be built at Hunt's Pier since the Catanoso family added the Escape from Dinosaur Beach ride (now a Moreys paint and ride maintenance shop) in 1996.
